Data we do not collect
The app does not create user accounts and does not automatically upload personal data, photos, training answers, daily progress, analytics events, advertising identifiers, or photo correction samples to our servers.
Camera and photos
Mahjong Jussei can use the camera or photo library only when you choose to scan a mahjong hand. Photos are processed on device to draft a tile list for your confirmation before analysis or a hand challenge.
Photo scan results may include locally saved correction metadata and cropped tile images when you use the correction flow. These samples stay on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.
When you confirm a scan, the app can also save a local validation record containing predicted and confirmed tiles, confidence values, corrections, recognition duration, and the confirmation time. These records are not uploaded automatically. Supported photo records can be exported when you choose; full correction-dataset export requires confirmation because it can include tile crops.
Local app data
The app stores state on your device, including language preference, selected tab, daily analysis usage count, saved hand reviews, and local photo correction and validation records.
Training progress is also stored locally. It includes the daily question-set date and question identifiers, each recorded first answer, whether it was correct, its time, and daily completion history used to display progress and a completion streak. These records provide a foundation for future practice insights; they are not sent to our servers. The app does not provide an account or in-app cloud sync for this progress.
Removing the app may remove its local data. Photo correction and validation records can also be managed using the relevant controls in Settings. Sharing an exported file sends it only through the destination you choose; review its contents and the destination's privacy practices before sharing.
Purchases
Pro subscriptions, when available, are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment information. Apple’s terms and privacy practices apply to App Store transactions.
Tracking and advertising
The app does not track users across apps or websites and does not include analytics or third-party advertising SDKs.
Future changes
If a future version adds accounts, analytics, server-side photo processing, cloud sync, crash reporting with user identifiers, or model-training uploads, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure before release.
